Our Turn 01:40

about

The Copyrights sound like the bastardized product of a first generation band of the pop punk explosion that happened back in the early 90's and a hell-bent group of kids on a mission to carve their name into the history of punk rock. That’s not to say that they sound like any of those golden-era lookout bands, but rather that they could have been one of those bands with their own sound and their own niche. A lot of the true pop punk sound often falls into a cookie-cutter cut-n-paste format, but these four tunes have enough originality and individuality to keep you guessing. Add that to the big guitars, beefy bass, solid danceable back-beat, backing vocals in all the right places, and Danny Vapid's little brother on lead vocals and you’ve got the recipe for a classic, top-notch punk rock record. Originality is hard to find in pop punk, but if it's what you're looking for, look no further.
